RESTORATION WORKS

Garbalayam: the inner sanctum walls and floorings were delipidated. Works were undertaken to rectify the flooring and the wall with proper selection and use of flooring tiles and cladding material for the same.
Madayrangam: similar to the garbalayam the mandyarangam was debilitated. Works were taken up to set right the flooring and walls.
Mandapam: the mandapam has been painted with oil paints, it is proposed to restore to original natural form and expose the organic texture and feel of the Basalt stone by removing the paint and varnish coat over the columns of the mandapam.
Parikarama Marg: Parikrama pathway (Hardscape) was broken and aged which got beyond repair, thus new pathway of the similar tandur stone were placed, before placement of stone base soil was reinforced with sand and blue metal.
Gopuram: the gopuram in-situ lime stucco work which comprises of extraordinary sculptures depicting forms of Krishna, is unique in its style. It was heavily loaded with moss and vegetation, loss of aesthetics due to weathering effects which were in a neglected condition. After careful evaluation of the condition and the scope of work to be undertaken under the guidance of restoration experts work was planned in three phases.
Verandah: Removal of all the inner walls creating closed spaces (rooms) in the verandah was done, scaping of all the pillars and ceiling was done to remove paint layer. Lime mortar patchwork in the area of damage was carried out.

- Remove existing tenants and unauthorized people from the temple premises.
- To put the entire 3 Acresto use for the temple and spiritual purposes.
- To make a master plan for the temple development in the 3 Acres
The above three being broadly the objective, while removal of the tenants and encroachers is being implemented by the endowments department on priority, the development can be spread over a period of 3 – 5 years.
ROAD AHEAD

The development can include –
- Renovation and restoration in the existing temple and the complex.
- Build an open-air Amphitheatre, for cultural activities such as: dance Arangetram, musical programs praising lord Krishna, Pravarchana by learned scholar explaining the Bhagavatam, Ramayana, Bhagawat Geeta and many such holy literary scriptures, Puranam.
- Build Kalayana Mandapam to conduct marriages, half sarees function, sastiporti and many such social gatherings.
- Build a temple kitchen: to serve prasadam and also separate kitchen for Kalyan mandapam.
- Construct a Library
- Develop the premises for associated activities.
